Time to call DE!

Might be right. Now they are waiting for a camshaft sprocket to put in my baby.

OK, haven't done it yet... but,

My sister & her husband are in a Vette Club.
They & 4 or 5 other Vettes are going to Tunica MS. to see a show this Sat.
They asked if "we" & the Z would like to tag along.

So... if you get passed this Sat. by a Z being chased by 5 Vettes (with their tongues hanging out & desperately trying to keep up)
It's me.

Got my new suspension today. Can't wait to install it.
For those of you who had a shop do suspension install, how much did you pay? I plan on doing it myself, but if I screw it up, I'll have someone do it. I got quoted $550, which I thought was ridiculous.

Sounds ludacris, shop around.

I thought it was pretty ridiculous and I don't think I should have any problem doing the install myself, but I was just trying to get an idea. That was from a run-of-the-mill tire shop. I'll probably check with Dynosty in Louisville and see what they might charge.

I paid $520 for coilovers and camber/traction kit install. It takes a while to do and thats why it cost so much. I didn't want to do this myself for the first time because if I screwed this up I would more than likely seriously damage my Z.

tl;dr: Finally getting something replaced under warranty after being denied.

( Click to show/hide )
After being told that my control arms weren't covered under my warranty because they accused me of causing the damage, I set up a claim with Nissan consumer affairs. They wanted me to take the vehicle in for an official diagnosis before proceeding with the case. Today I took her in to get that done. My usual service advisor went home early so I got a new one for today's appointment. After verifying that the original control arm was bad, now they say both fronts are bad. Apparently the bushings are worn and it all looks like normal wear and tear, not caused by any accidents. (I was accused of this by my previous service advisor.)
The advisor and I had a conversation recapping the previous visit and at first he stated that they can only do so much under the standard warranty, blah blah blah. I told him that's cool and all but I paid for an extended warranty when I purchased it. He then tried to say extended warranties sometimes don't cover suspension parts but he would check with someone there. He comes back and says it's covered and it should have been replaced back in September when I first brought it in.
They are ordering the parts and will replace under warranty asap. I've switched service advisors.
