Thanks Mr Kenchan, was hoping you would chime in as you helped me last time when I wanted to oversize the tires on the sport rims. I recently searched the forum to find out anything on the Michelin PS 2 (nothing) and came across a post of yours running S04's on the G.

Also wondering about still slipping into the Michelin Pilot SS by upping the size in the rear from 285's to either 295's or 305's and maybe tire rack will have those in stock. 285's are ideal for the sport wheels but 295's might be squeezing too much on the rim...thoughts on 295 or 305 ?

If not a wise choice then I am down for S04's in 265/35/19 and 285/35/19.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate your help as always you are an asset to the Z community ! :tiphat:

mr.zforce- yah, i think 295/35 should fit considering michelin states spec width is 10-11.5" wheels.

but not sure if it would really give you that much benefit over 285/35/19? it's 7mm taller than 275/35/19...

i also see a 305/30/19 offered, but it's recommendation is for 10.5-11.5" wheels.

Mr Kenchan, thanks, I just made a call to Tire Rack to stock check Pilot SS in 295/35 and backordered - retooling ETA 1/3/2014. I will pass, been waiting since Sept and they will probably extend that ETA out further once 1/3/2014 gets here.

Gonna go with your S04's 265/35 & 285/35. The agent stated the the S04's would be second preferred ranking right behind the Pilot SS and the Pilot A/S 3's would be third ranking.

I am happy with the tire I went with and would like to thank you very much for taking your time to assist. :tiphat:

Uh oh. I am near the end of my tire life. I had planned on a third set of Michelins PSS very soon.

Its a great time though as I read through DIY articles, read up on stuff I don't know and stalk the For Sale section for any gems that pop up lol.

I still hold a grudge against Michelin for forcing all but four (I think?) cars from the F1 USGP to retire before the race in Indy, due to unsafe tire design several years ago.

kenchan 12-10-2013 03:49 PM

wasn't it pirelli that was blowing up tires on F1 cars or something?

You might get lucky - I was not so lucky - and they come in on 1/3/14, I could not wait any longer, tires are bald and a nail in one of the rears - it's holding up thou without adding any air.

Hummm.... I have some parts I am about to toss out in the 4sale section.

1) Sunline (AeroJacket) Spats (FRP) never used, mounted once and then removed (went CF version) . They are already color matched Red.

2) Berk HFC's

3) Canon 50D DSLR with standard lens 75-135mm, battery pack. Low mileage.

Nothing on the 370Z, but since my 350Z arrived in Guam from Germany the other day, I had to register it, wash, claybar, detail it, etc. Not even close to being done though, I still need to apply a few more coats of wax, and take pics of the scuff marks on my rear wheels so I can file a claim. They're not exactly rashed, just looks like tire mounting marks. Either way, they're very minor, but surely weren't there when the car was shipped.

Right after I picked it up.
