Per Onzedge's request.

Aluminum L-bar used to support the Stillen splitter and to prevent the inevitable sagging issue. The lowest part of the L-bar is higher than the middle rolled part of the splitter (the picture makes it look not to be the case but its just the angle). I have Sept. 7 circled as the date to do the final install as I will be busy between now and then. Also hope to have my new wheels in and mounted by then as well. Stay tuned....

Thank you. I look forward to seeing pictures of it installed.

I empathize with your lack of free-time. I am at the airport now for another in a series of trips. My first weekend free is September 21. My Swifts and Konis are not going to install themselves, dammit.

I do not miss airports. I will be sure to post up pictures of it once installed. I need to finally make one of those journals capturing the progress of the car to date. I love my Swifts. I'm sure the Koni's will make that setup even better. I would say you need to get those installed ASAP on the 21st but you are in Cali so plenty of nice driving weather left.

I had the Koni/Swift setup on my 40th Anniversary and you cannot do any better. It was exactly the way the car should handle. Unfortunately, a speeding driver in a 1993 Nissan pickup truck decided I should not have such pleasures and hit me, totaling my baby.

My 2013 is coming along nicely though. The suspension is the remaining work I need to do.

I didn't realize you are in a '13 now that sucks to hear about your 40th. Glad to see you are getting the new one back where you want it.

Thanks, man.

Went to Streets of Willow the other day for the first time.https://sphotos-a-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/h...73869493_n.jpg

I wasn't exactly a Senna, but I sure did have a lot of fun. 1:41.43 going counter-clockwise. Next time, I'm definitely going to grow a pair and turn VDC off.

Drove her, cleaned her, ready for the week.

Wussed out. Gave up on my rear sway bar install after trying two weekends in a row. Went to my local tire store and they installed. Couldn't get the frickin' nut off of the end link.
Fully adjustable now though! :driving:

I'll have to list in chronological order:

1. Brought my birthday gift coupon that was emailed to me by the local Nissan dealer, and said: "this coupon for a GTR...straight up." They said no.

2. Got a couple of nearly free oil filters instead.

3. Had them flush the brake fluid.

4. While I waited I "allowed" a salesperson to tempt me into buying a 2013 roadster.

5. Took test drive in 2013 roadster (gun grey).

6. Educated the salesperson on the stalling issue (since we got the signal that there was only 28 mi. of gas left).

7. Paid for the fluid flush and enjoyed driving away in my monty blue roadster.

A good day.

Pulled her in the garage, starting to install an oil cooler....

Went to visit a client and took the long route, a winding 1 hour drive between the ocean & mountains. So lucky to live Hawaii. Please excuse the glare in the pic, sun was at the wrong angle.

ahhhh-Harry drove me to work today (or did I drive Harry...?)...huge improvement from yesterday when I drove the Civic due to thuderstorms in the area.
I also was able to get my favorite parking spot. AND it's MY friday!
BC FTW! :)

Hit 40K last night :driving:

If I had thought about it ahead of time, I would have made sure to match up the mileages. I didn't expect to get 400 miles out of the tank though - we just happened to take the Z to San Antonio this past weekend.

This is the best I could do :)

I ordered an imitation Tommy Kaira shift knob (flat black) from grafixpressions.com.
Only 90.00.
I really wanted the Tommy Kaira but they're back ordered...plus they scream "Steal Me". They offered a TK clone in many colors, also Titanium color to better match my car but I got black. I think it will blend in with the interior of the car better. I'm not a showy guy so subtle is better for me.
Hopefully this black one that's an exact clone - sans Turtle, will satisfy me. Honestly I don't even know if I'll like it or not, so this will be a learning experience for me. I've never had a heavy shift knob before, many many articles on here solidly recommend them so I'm giving one a try.

I may, in time, have it repainted another color and engraved. Shouldn't be too expensive to have that done.
