I also found the extended warranty is very useful...

Cover all the rental expense while I have to leave my Z to the tech to repair the soft-top, and the roadside assistance.

BTW, I de-badge my Z..... the "Fairlady Z" emblem is coming, so why don't I 'clean up' the place first..... :icon17:

Same here, I will be taking advantage of the free rental next week when the part comes in. New abbreviation : EW = extended warranty …

I have been thinkging about the emblem also.

Z buddy heading over from Fallon, NV with his son without the z probably take a short ride on some twisties.

Today was a good day! Cue the Icecube!!

Perfect Herbst(fall) day here in South Germany. 20C sunny and nice breeze. Waxed the car a couple days ago, time for a nice drive!

I live near Autobahn 8(A-8) just a bit East and South of Stuttgart. As you enter the speed limit is gone about 4km from my place. I drove a nice route around the area and warmed all the fluids etc.

Time to enjoy life at speed! Hit the A-8 and follow a nice TT out and down the Autobahn and move over to the far left and accelerate. Up to 220kph + in no time. Slight touch around 240kph and ease away from what traffic there is.....

Exit and hit the return route to the West. Get into a nice high speed conga line following a high powered Benz Avant and trailing me is a new, bright lime green metallic Cayenne. 120mph + back towards the West.

The neatest thing I experienced besides the great performance of the Z is following a student driver doing his high speed training in a nice Golf GTD with his instructor. 170kph training session! Not a bad way to learn one's driving.

I never had that when I got my license in Florida at age 16! I love this place. Today was a good day! :driving:

:iagree: Earlier this summer they have to work on the soft-top and the total numbers of days of rental was more than 10 days... that say it was already $600+, they will have to replace the whole soft-top this Oct or Nov, another week of rental, plus the road-side service up to 100k km, that's another saving for me for $375, I am making money from it... LOL :bowrofl:

The only thing is... I hope they can give me a better rental car than a Chevy Malibooooooo....... :ugh2:

Removing those plastic emblem was a breeze... but the double-side-tape was a pain in the a$$ to work on.... :ugh2: :ugh2:

I can say Nissan uses extremely high quality doube-side-tape on it....

And if the steering lock is as high quality as those tape... I believe the Z won't have steering-lock problem at all.... :bowrofl:

Keep kickin it at the track. Love the last thread you had!! Well done! Easy to drive fast on the Autobahn. Track driving is much more technical and challenging. I applaud your efforts with the Z!

Track day tomorrow. So Carbotech XP10's on, lugs tight, everything inspected, new AD08's, and the CJM fuel starvation in effect to be tested. So all in all good to go. Wish me luck.
