I just had one of the all time best drives home today.
As I left the office, I turned off the VDC, thinking correctly as it turned out, that I might need to muscle my way into traffic, when a small gap emerged. Within a half mile no more cars remained in front of me. About a dozen were there but they all just turned off. After a couple hundred yards, I spotted and passed a Prius on the freshly paved and still unstriped road. The next car I encountered pulled over before he slowed me down. Encountered a very minor slow down, a C63 doing 55 in a 40 zone. I got to pass him in an exciting way. He got in the left turn lane that goes downhill, while I zipped by him and turned left uphill. The excitement came, as it often does, by the Merc realizing he is in the wrong lane and goes left and uphill too. I was ready for it, by being past him. Blazed home without any more cars or bikes. I so wish I'd had my camera. Five miles of curves in about six minutes. I am so happy. I hope you all have had a great day too. |

I think i had the complete opposite experience on my drive home...almost seemed rehearsed..."ok im dropping out at next intersection, i'll slow her down so you can get out in front...ok?! Execute". Lol! :ughdance: |
