Crappy weather here but has been a productive car filled day. Got the Z back on the alignment rack and everything is now dialed in. Got the rear camber back in line at -1.9 left and -1.8 right. Finally done.

Now waiting at the shop to get the front wheel bearing pressed out for my DD. Will put it back together this evening while enjoying a few beers :)

Tomorrow the Z gets detailed. It's filthy from driving around in the rain today.

Thanks! I had almost 0 rear camber after installing the arms.....it looked funny :icon17: coupled with crazy toe in it was a scary drive. The rear end did whtever it felt like when going over bumps :ugh2:

Hit 70k. :(

Mt Tam I am 05-17-2014 02:50 PM

I passed a bike and then 5 minutes later it caught up to me while being trapped behind a Jeep from AZ. It seems that WA and AZ plates mean that the slow poke (15 in a 45 MPH) will never pull over. NY is as polite. I wonder what gives.

Replaced battery. I bought an Optima Red Top the other day and went to put it in today only to discover that connectors would not reach the terminals. Apparently there is a "reverse terminal" version the O'Reilly parts guy missed. They didn't have one to exchange so I just picked up one from dealer, surprisingly for only $127 out the door which was half the cost of the Optima. I also found the swap to be much simpler than described in the service manual. Warranty on the new one from Nissan is 84 months, so I figure I should be good for another 5 years.

Got z alligned. Found out I need camber kit for rear. Also went early dinner with wife at Buffalo wild wings.

TreeSemdyZee 05-17-2014 09:44 PM

Installed Nismo S-Tune front struts and SPL Pro endlinks.
I spent about 7 hours on one side. Less than two on the other. :icon14:

Tomorrow. The rears.

axmea? 05-18-2014 01:57 AM

Got a front finisher installed today.

I like this. Works well with the sunline style front lip. Apologies for the iphone image. Wifey has the camera stashed somewhere. I bet it has some Hawaiian sand in it.
