Today is Z and Juke washing day.

Very certain much of the Z family has already experienced this but it was a first for me.

Late last night, I'm waiting in a parking lot to pick up a family member and I hear: "Hey...that's a 370z!"

I look up and a girl is snapping some pics in front of me. (And yes, she was hot. I knew that would be the next question.)

Motored my Z

Found a shade tree and started this 5 hours ago, (wash was yesterday) Clay Bar, Adams #1 Paint Correction, Sealed/Glazed.

The result shows the Adams products are outstanding!

This is a 4 your old, DD, outside only car; now I can see 1000's of paint defects in the crappy factory paint!

Took her to Wal-Mart today, both of us felt a little out of place.

Walked out of work to find a huge spot of bird poop spot on my hood. Washed it off but the bird poop had done its damage... Etched into the paint :(

That is not cool. One might even go so far as to say that is "zero-cool".

onzedge 05-18-2014 06:16 PM

Some JA in an effing mini van gets in front of me occasionally on my morning commute. Drives 20 50mph. Until he gets on 4-lane then he drives 70. Smh. I have to follow him for several miles before a decent passing zone. So of course first chance i pass him, in 3rd gear because the m-effer always speeds up when I pass him. Yeah, we do this often enuff that he knows i'm going to pass.
Anyways, i speed off and am in still sitting in Harry when he gets to work parking lot (lol-yes, he works here too). Too funny. He is obviously curious who I am, or he's looking to get even. And he better hope it ain't the latter. :shakes head::rolleyes:

Looks like my CMC finally bit the dust. Cannot engage gear. Stuck at home.

Of course my new CMC and Z1 CSC delete kit are scheduled to arrive at the office tomorrow :icon17:

I'd introduce myself to him then I'd ask him why or what he is up to.

Maybe you could challenge him to an auto x. Winner gets out of the way of the other deal.

Always good to hear about you and Harry.

:shakes head: craps.... does your dealer have a recommended wheel repair place they contract out?

Ghostvette 05-19-2014 01:13 PM

One of the KC guys recommended AWR here in KC. They do mobile work, so I'm going to get that scheduled. Just annoyed and bummed that I did it.

Excellent work, planned to focus on a few areas with my PC on Sunday but ended up not having enough time :(

How many miles do you have? Was this the first failure?

Yesterday I got on the Z pretty hard on a few stretches of road with some GTRs, Vipers, and Ferraris. She took the beating like a champ ;)

Looking into getting a DA polisher and buff out all the paint defects. Previous owner was either a jackass or didn't care about this beautiful car which is mine now! :D

question for all of you! If you can choose another nissan factory color for your Z, what would it be? I love the solid red, and I barely see another solid red around where I live but I would probably go with gunmetal grey.

JARblue 05-19-2014 06:39 PM

Gun Metallic was my favorite by far of the color options we had at the time. However, the Midnight Blue would have been my first choice if it were an option. I also really like the Magma Red, but I'm not sure it would be above my current GM color. I prefer the old 350Z copper color (very close to the Burnt Orange my Longhorns wear).

Won DriftCon 2014 People's Choice Award yesterday :)

Another day, another stupid driver almost hitting me. Seriously, am I fucking invisible?! Fucking women drivers!

I think this belongs in my thread....
