Did I miss the post where you decided to keep her? I know, I'm a bit behind.

Got a PM this morning from a forum member who lives up in the northeast where it's 20 degrees. So I decide to take the Z on an oceanside cruise this morning in a balmy 78 degrees. :icon17:

This morning I filled my gas tank since my credit card has been offering 5% cash back on gas (normally I don't go more than half a tank)

Only problem is that a full tank of gas really slams my car to the ground and I scraped really badly leaving the gas station :icon17:

[QUOTE=GaleForce;2142011]Here's the first start up after the turbo install. Nothing too exciting...

Sounds flippin awesome...envious I am!

Custom start button popped out after arriving home tonight (I had the damn thing painted 90 degrees from the correct orientation :shakes head:). It led to a big argument with the wife over these minor mods. I'm going to fix it tonight and then order myself a custom exhaust for my birthday on Tuesday - that'll show her :stirthepot:

I'm not really going do the exhaust thing just yet... she'll kill me. I'll have to build up to it after tonight :icon17: I'm not that stupid...

JARblue 02-02-2013 03:11 AM

Since I screwed up the start button, and I was a little tipsy, I got stubborn when my wife called me out on it and decided to go ahead take care of business. I printed out a revised Z logo (slightly smaller - better fit imo) for the start button. Since I wanted just the Z to glow and Pintsize, wanted just the Z in black, I was able to kill two birds with one stone using the stencil for hers and the Z cut out for mine

I did three coats of Krylon Fusion for hers and mine has two coats of adhesion promoter with three coats of KAD. I will have to clear coat them as well, though it will probably be tomorrow sometime since the garage is now toxic :icon17: I also plan to pick up some buffing compound (Meguiar's Ultimate Compound seems to be a good choice here), which I did not have for my original attempt. I am hoping this will give it a cleaner finish

Yeah... definitely going to do the clear tomorrow... just going downstairs I could smell the paint. And going into the garage to snap these two pics (very quickly) made me surprisingly light-headed. I think that's part of the reason the pics look a little screwy - they look much better in person.

Unfortunately, the Z is going to have to sit outside in the driveway for the night. I'm not too worried about someone stealing her without the start button :icon17:
