Hole in my left rear tire too close to the sidewall to patch. Tires are less than a year old. Lovely.

Fluids arrived today ahead of my mass fluid swap scheduled for Friday. In addition to these, my friend that will be helping has a 5 gallon jug of ATE Super Blue for the brake and clutch fluid swaps

Hopefully it was low speed impact and you're only butthurt, and not hurt anywhere else. Sorry to hear that you encountered one of the many idiot drivers on the road. :shakes head: Be safe out there everyone :tiphat:

Shift boot with an AT? I never got the fascination with this....

I'm guessing it's not possible for us AT peeps to swap the knob right? (yes, that sounds dirty.)

Edit: Oh and HI fellow Austinite!

dmhenderson 01-15-2013 03:17 PM

Yeah you can change out your shift knob on an AT just like you can on a MT. Still requires the same amount of (frankly ridiculous) effort to torque the knob off without damaging the transmission due to the retarded amount of loctite Nissan uses though.

Hmm......sounds like I might have my next cheap mod to hold me over. Thanks dmhenderson!

Sounds like it's expensive in the way of exhausting labor to take the OEM knob off. ;)

Yeah, it's just me thinking lazy. Precursor to being lazy.
