The best deterrent against thieves is light. Always park in a well lite area even if its further off where everyone else is parking.
Next, though expensive, get an alarm with a tilt sensor and while your at is get a shock/glass break sensor too. Alarms don't do much because of idiots who get the proximity sensor that sets off the alarm if a bird fly's by but its going to take at least 10min for who ever it is to jack up a car and remove the wheels. And having an alarm blaring is going to be a decent deterrent too. |

I'm just stilled baffled that someone has the balls to put a car on blocks (even if its 2am) and steal 4 wheels from a car right on the street...they must work quick
I can only imagine its not the most well lit street or you're on a very quiet street so not much traffic.

If they have cased the area they know your neighbors are not up at a certain time say after 2am or so... safe bet most people are asleep. In a neighborhood probably with zero traffic so no one is going to know until its too late. The only deterrent there would be an alarm to wake someone up...other than that get a place with a garage....if it is out in the open its just time and opportunity waiting to happen.

Maybe you NY guys should plan your own sting operation. Park your sport packaged Z in prime theft conditions and just wait for the thieves. This is the only proactive method of reducing the theft. Cops don't care and there is no serial numbers. Insurance companies end up with a profit in the long run as our rates continue to climb. |

Good job! I guess, sucks to hear what happened still. Everybody will tell you to go aftermarket and keep the change, but from personal experience, I'd say go back to stock again or hell, even downgrade a bit to the base 18" + spacers. There is a possibility that they will be back and if they see TE37's or something nice/aftermarket, it's deja vu all over again.
