I don't think you'll have any luck getting Nissan to cover the tire, it seems usually the tire manufacturer's warranty applies in that case. Good luck with Yokahama, it does

Good luck with Yokahama, it does sound to me like a defective tire. I don't see how a tire can just explode like that unless you slammed it into a big pothole just before, which they would be able to tell, so if it just let go you should be fine! Good luck!
