I got told once that I had a "chicks" car.

I actually had a guy in the Best Buy parking lot ask me if it was a new 240z. Seriously, man? (I was nice about and just corrected him)

My future 2013Z Sport Pkg, it's been called ugly numerous times, right here on this forum:rofl2: No worries guys, just havin fun.

Worst and most face-palm compliment was when another car enthusiast said "Thats a 370z not a fairlady" and called me a ricer for rebadging my car :shakes head:

So this morning I was driving home from work and was waiting on a red light, next to me was a school bus (the short kind, not the regular one). The light changed and I just accelerated like normal, shifting at 3k rpm like I usually do, and i look over and the bus driver is doing everything he can to try and get ahead of me. (I did notice that the bus was empty since school is still out for sumer here). The only thing I could think of was :wtf: is going on. he stayed next to me all the way until i got to 50 mph (five over the limit). Then again, on second though maybe he was just trying to get a good look at the Z.

Sorry if this sounds like an A-hole but I would have been thinking the same thing as that guy, but I would not have said it. The whole JDM thing is played out, move on.

Clerk : Is that a 350z?
Me : No 370z.
Clerk : That's the new one?
Me : It's been out for a few years now.
Clerk : Too bad. I really like the 350z's. They look so good.

Once I did get a thumbs down by some younger driver in a Subaru wrx hatchback
I was just like wtf ...

People think I look like 15-17 this lady pulls up next to me with her windows down and asked me
If I had my drivers license cause I looked to young to be driving . I told her I did and she's like
Oh danggg I thought you just took daddys car on a joy ride LOll

I have received the...is that your boyfriends car...??? from mostly everyone.

When I started looking at the 370's a few weeks go (and ultimately got one), the only thing my girlfriend could focus on was the lack of 2 "real" cupholders (since she doesn't count the ones in the doors). "This car is a car for one"...

After seeing one yesterday, I have to say the 13's look a lot better in person compared to the pictures. It was sitting next to a 12 (black 12 SP & white 13 SP)which made it easy to compare. Looks like they get the red lens for the fog light now & the driving lights don't look that bad. The grill is also not as thin looking as in the picture.
While I still prefer my 11, the 13's look nice as well.

Havent really gotten any bad compliments in the Z. However my favorite bad compliment was when my college roommate had a Turbo Supra and people would tell him "Nice Celica".

Luckily the comment is on the Z, not youself... you know.. "little & cute"

I understand 09 to 12 owners love their cars and it's a beautiful car. It just defies logic that changing the the little fang colors to make it match the grill and adding a couple LED's, plus making the rim color nicer (personal opinion) albeit a different design and adding red calipers. Make supposedly Z lovers on this forum say hate and ugly. It's 98% the same car!

Felix, I also agree with you, in person the 13 is nicer than the pics.

Well... The first 2 generations are techincally known as Toyota Celica Supra as they were largely based off them. the 3rd and 4th dont have that same basing, so Toyota Supra stood alone. Many people call Supras Celicas joking on its old heritage.

its part of just liking what you have, no one likes to admit something is nicer than what they have (even though inside their head they are jelly and want it :rofl2:)

but the 2013 is nice, it has grown on me since it came out but just like the 09-12 design better.

Yeah his was a 4th generation and he was fully aware of the history but it still pissed him off to no end. I on the other hand thought it was funny as hell. Mostly due to his reaction.

Stopped at a gas station to fill up today. A nice old man was getting gas and said "thats one sweet *** Nissan son" and I was like "ah thanks man. How's your day going" and he replied good. His friend came out of the gas station so I figured I'd be nice to him as well so I asked how he was doin. He replied "fine until i saw this ugly lookin go cart dune buggy looking drain on American society parked next to my friend here". I have never been speechless until today. I was just in shock. The other old man laughed and told me not to listen to his grumpy friend. I just smiled and left. I'm still like Wtf, did he really say that?

My Neighbour wouldn't even walk over and look at my brand New Z and said,,"Should have bought the Altima",,. That's coming from a guy that bought a 12 year old Avalon when he needed a car!!
