The youtube video that I see people everywhere linking/quoting.. was the 370 just kinda chilling out at the beginning?

According to the Subaru website.. the BRZ does 0-60 in (surprisingly slow to me) 8.4 seconds. The Z apparently ranges from 4.7 to 5.5-ish seconds.

How does the BRZ in the video get to the first corner 'before' the Z? If anything the Z should be a good 1 or more car spots ahead. The main place the Z would smoke the BRZ would be on straights, and the only straight in the course was in the BRZ's favour?
