I am somewhat disappointed as well. While I do agree that the linear powerband masks some of the 370Z's quickness, I feel that the 370Z is gutless below 4K RPM. This makes the car frustrating to drive sometimes. Perhaps it's just a shortcoming of the 6spd manual...I've never driven the AUTO. The gas pedal/throttle delay also frustrates me. Sometimes this car is just not as fun as it looks.
Even though I might get flamed...perhaps it's time for Nissan to put a small V8 in the Z. .
