How much mileage was on the car? Most new cars don't make good power until they've done some miles. And also since it was just a test drive you probably haven't perfected the technique.

The simple response would have been - "Sorry, that's as good as it gets with a Z. Maybe you should look into a V6 Camaro? They are iPhone friendly!"
