Sounds like you have little enough damage for paintless dent repair. My friend's car got hit bad and they made it look like new.

Our area of town had a huge hail storm pass through last year. SO many cars got totaled and used cars because in short supply soon afterward. Our old accord was one of the cars that was totaled. Ironically, our Camry, which was in the shop for transmission issues, was completely fine since the shop moved it in. If ONLY that was totaled too, we could've just taken the money and gotten another car.

Sorry to hear man. I have a few dings on my Z from debri from semi's, small spots from bugs (got majority of those out), and worst of all is tree sap apparently ate through some of my paint so I have a few small whitish spots on the car :/ 3 or 4 of them actually ate through the clear coat too. Piss off I am

So side note if anyone knows how to get my paint back to virtually flawless I would greatly appreciate it

Man that sucks. I know how it feels. I was caught in a hail storm back in April...pulled over as fast as I could and listened to the marble sized hail ping off the car. That is the thanks I get for doing a good deed of picking up a friend..would of never been on that side of town otherwise

. I dunno how I made it out with Zero damage as it hailed pretty hard for about 5 minutes. I did suffer a pretty good sized chip in the front bumper on the drive home out of the storm though.

I hope they can pull the dents out and get it back flawless.

Yeah, some cars got totally beat out here. I consider myself fortunate not to have had worse hail damage. I was really upset last night but today its like IDGAF. As we say back home... "Ay yo, shyt happens ehh!" Lol. hopefully I will get good news on this... I'm going to get it checked out now.
That's if I can get in. I'm sure they are packed in this area today with all the damage.

the aluminum is tough to work with when it comes to fixing dents. the paint wont flex as much as the aluminum will either.

PDR is the way to go but get opinions on reputable shops first. Generally they try to get behind the dent and massage it out so access to the dent is the time consuming part and where you want a reputable shop so they put body panels, trim and interior components back together they way they should go. The majority of the cost there is time, despite the tons of special tools they have to reach up through narrow spaces to get behind a dent.

For those places they can't get behind the dent they use a hot glue method that works really well - essentially they use various sized disks that they glue to the dent and they slid a spring loaded puller over the disk and 'pop' the disk off the car, which pulls the dent. Then they massage the extrusion (extremely small) down flush. That method takes about 1 minute per dent but is not usable if the dent is 'sharp' and might cause the paint to come off.

The tech did mention that aluminum was a lot harder to work with.

I had an MR2 Spyder with significant hail damage to every body panel (probably at least 50 dents) and the end cost was about $2500.

I have 11 and they told me my car looks like its an easy fix except for two. But now I'm hearing aluminum is hard to fix??? Well I will take it day by day. Let's see how it turns out? T
