They improve air flow. And are reuseable. Do a google shopping search with the part number to find the best deals. I think I got mine for $43 each. Let me dig up the info for you. Sit tight

You know, I don't even know, but do I need more than one cleaning kit for these suckers? Or should one be enough to do both filters?
