And of course, the one time I want one of those arborist business cards cause there's a tree in my driveway, there's none to be found. Rest of the year, I get two a week minimum... No big deal though, I've got a friend that runs his own tree business, and he is scheduled to come out tomorrow to remove our trashy hackberry and grind the stump

All it takes is $$$ But he gave me a good price: $575 to remove 24" diameter hackberry and grind the stump. I know my parents paid that much just to remove a hackberry 2/3 the size of mine and then had to pay an extra $200 to grind the stump. Unexpected expense, but I'm a glass half full kinda guy

The joys of home ownership But seriously, I love owning my own house and doing the work on it myself. Although I have some masonite trim that I need to replace with hardie, and I am not looking forward to that repair very much.

next spring, going to hire a painter to do the interior walls. walls go too high and im not good with heights. ..

Its fun, huh I put in a new toilet and replaced the wall hung lavatory with a pedestal lav about 6 months ago. Appliances are definitely on the list. We got a nice stainless steel range and matching microwave/vent hood when we bought the house, but the existing dishwasher was black and we brought our white refrigerator with us, too. They don't exactly match My favorite renovation was wall mounting my Samsung TV and Samsung motorized wall mount over the fireplace and running the wires plus my speaker wires in the wall.
