so far the best audio has been from the cupholder area using that saitech mount. very balanced between exhaust/low road noise, and music from stereo is very clean.

ive not tried the mic from the exhaust as i didnt feel like adding more problems such as rattles and wind noise.

Nah, I'm biting the bullet on this one. Mr. BMW was egging me on and I gave in. Just didn't realize that when I looked down at nav he had slowed the eff down and I hadn't. Woo!

He probably had radar detection.

45 on highway? That is a speed trap....

So you got 22 over and its 325, that's pricey I think mine for 27 over was $120. And I took driving safety course for an additional $90 so ticket would not go on my record.

I need to call the courthouse to see if I am even given the option of defensive driving or not. After so many miles over, it's not an option. Pricing for a county ticket:

Wow those prices are way less than you would pay here in california... I got a stop sign ticket and that was 385 + traffic school fees!

the ms3 appears to be pretty solid. i dont read too many serious issues with that car. too bad it's so frikken ugly.

GTI's are really no different than any other car. Start modding and running them hard and you will get issues. Plenty of other owners drive them and have very few issues. Its a great car that does all things pretty well.

I would not have any other HOT hatch. Well I did have an Abarth 500 that was sweet as well

Kenchan go test drive the GTI - the overall quality will impress you. Compared to being in the Z its a sound booth, so quiet and solid. I never test drove 1. I bought it and had it shipped over. Man what a great surprise in terms of quality and performance. GO FOR IT!!!

Plus the Top Gear review was the deal sealer for me. There are faster cars, but the GTI is still the BEST Hot Hatch. All others wish they were a GTI. It has been a TOP 10 best car in Motor Trend for years and is again to boot.

Oh I did wash and drive the Z today...since this is the daily what did you do with your Z thread lol

i wont be doing any engine mods. maybe axle-back at most if there's such a thing offered on the MS3. will do swifts, spacers, maybe front splitter.

i test drove the previous gen gti and it was nice. it was more like a regular car with regular sporty sedan feel imho. it was nice inside and quieter and a plush ride.
