Just got her lubed up. Was quoted $678 for spring install and alignment.

I was out in Vegas last week. I was quoted 678 for a lube job, too.

Maintenance/work day for my car, with two events coming up in the next month or so.

Put it up on 4 jackstands, took off the bumper, the undertray, all 4 wheels. Rebuilt the piston seal / dust boot stuff in the rear calipers, replaced the rear rotors, put some new heat shield thingies behind the front pads, flushed some new brake fluid through the whole system, cleaned and re-oiled the K&N air filters, replaced PCV valves, cleaned MAFs, reset ECU, reset idle air volume, changed oil and filter.

Last weekend was the front caliper rebuild and rotors, new front bearings, new tie rod ends.

Needs a visit to an alignment shop next week :P

That quote is WAY too high. Spring install is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours for a person who is not doing it for the first time. I can do 4 springs on a Z in under 4 hours and I am almost as old as God.

A 4 wheel alignment should be in the neighborhood of 60 to 70 bucks -- tops. Shop around or bring her out to Sacramento and we will do it for you for the cost of a couple nice lunches and friendly conversation.

I DO need a vacation! Tempting offer. Alignment is only 89 in the quote above.

Nice spacers Kensan. One of the things I like about my ZL1 is that the wheels are set out even with the body.
