Forgot the name but it starts with Austin...

I believe, and I could be mistaken, that this is an Austin Healey Sprite.

It is a "Bug-eye" Sprite.

Geesh.

That could explain the nagging sense of emptiness and lack of enthusiasm I have been feeling lately.

For a hot minute, I wished my Z was my old MS3.
My light kit just does not fit in the Z, so it's another day of driving the Ranger for me.

Footloose301 08-03-2012 03:32 PM

I went to the gym in the Z, then detailed it and got lunch. Then, drove it home thru the rain on the way home....

I hate this kind of rain!! I remember one time I washed my Z in the morning, and there was this rain just cam in the afternoon.. for like 5 mins... not enough to make a flooding but enough to dirty my Z completely....

Just got her lubed up. Was quoted $678 for spring install and alignment.

That quote is WAY too high. Spring install is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours for a person who is not doing it for the first time. I can do 4 springs on a Z in under 4 hours and I am almost as old as God.

A 4 wheel alignment should be in the neighborhood of 60 to 70 bucks -- tops. Shop around or bring her out to Sacramento and we will do it for you for the cost of a couple nice lunches and friendly conversation.

Must be New York pricing. Auto work is probalby the only thing in California that tends to be less than the rest of the country.
