Hey JAR! :hello: What kind/color knob did you go with? I know some people have gotten finisher-type collars made from plastic or rubber from the local hardware store and it looked just fine.

Good luck man!

cvt is "continuously variable transmission", I believe. It's an automatic gearbox that I think has no gears?! I don't know. Maximas have them.

Drove the Z yesterday.. What a fun car, and just a great looking car, inside and out.

I don't drive it much, but when I do, it is worth having traded the 350Z for..

Buying a newer daily driver this week. A 2008 Sierra with 21K miles...Sweet newer daily driver...

I hope everyone has a great day.

I know, 3 black vehicles.....What a dummy....

Wow! Hey Bucket! Where ya been? Everything going ok man?

Fire 08-07-2012 11:15 AM

CVT sounds like pornography. Sounds good at the beginning but leaves you unsatisfied.

yah, continuous variable turtle. it's slow... on the new impreza's :ugh2: the 5MT does 8sec..but noone has any instock nor much inventory coming. i would need to wait 12wks.

nissan's new altima has a 7:1 ratio or something which is even more than the lexus 8sp AT's. lol the new altima 4banger does 0-60 in 7sec.... :eekdance: holy craps, probably faster than FRS/BRZ. :rofl2:

Aka, the rubber band tranny.

Very efficient, but very weak comparatively. A good manual driver can do almost as well, efficiency-wise....

haaha, yah, im not a big fan of sedans. they look super boring and functionally can't do anything but carry people and some luggage.

i wants hatchback (box). :icon17:

so far:
1) Impreza sport premium 5MT = #1 on list, but no one has in-stock. :ugh2:

2) Honda fit sport 5MT = #2 on list. the 08' i had was just too cramped up front with the pedals, but the current gen is not bad. not sure why i keep missing test drive on the black one. :ugh2: I might head out to another dealer with 2 silvers in-stock.

3) Impreza sport premium CVT = kinda boring... but i can give to wife in 2yrs.

4) others:
MS3 (new) = was my original plan, but not as good as i thought. :(
xB (new) = fail. too stupid looking up close.
WRX STI (used) = modded so didnt want.
WRX STI (used) = it looks fine, but carfax states car was in an accident.
WRX (new) = not bad, but wheels are fugly and pricy for wat im looking for.
