Nope! I'm up, but barely! Another day in paradise!

Change controls have to be submitted, wireless projects planned and network assessments continued. :ugh2:

Anybody want to sit in for me while I go back to bed?

Gonna motor the Z in 45 minutes!

Morning Brantly :hello: don't work too hard controlling changes, projecting wireless plans, and assessing networks :icon14: I'll gladly sit in for you so you can get some more shut eye, but the price you would have to pay is more work, especially if I was too get my hands on that stuff. ;)

Groggy morning here myself. Coffee and lawn watering is about all the functionality I can muster at the moment. Typed my account number wrong on my online banking. Got locked out. It's that bad.

How's your morning?

Better lay low until you can get another coffee. Things will get better

Killer PT this am. First time back in a bit since I had that nasty sunburn. Still, down 12 lbs from where I started. Pretty happy about that.

Now I'm going to get up and finish getting ready. Hell of a day today. Stupid audit.

Good stuff Steve! Keep up the good work!

I didn't get any last night... so feel free to have those :shakes head:

Mr. Gurney, wife just asked last night about a CR-V. I also saw ad for Acura ILX (never seen one before) - it looks sweet but a bit weak for my tastes. But, hey, if the wife likes it, I like it. :icon17:

Good morning Jar. Remember, happy wife... Happy life

Good morning to the rest of the crew, Mr.Kenchan, Mr.onzedge, Mr.alcheng, Mr.alchemy, Fire, Bucket...

It is the biggest software deal we have ever worked on. We had first contact with these guys in Oct. 2011 when I answered a 1,647 line RFP that they send to 15 prospective vendors, now it's just us. Today we run through soemetechnology issues with their IS dept and show a few key workflows. If I don't blow it, then the deal is done. Sales has their pricing ducks in a row, their management team has signed off, and we have delivered proof of concept to all other departments. There you go.

Holy crap guys... I just narrowly avoided a huge collision on my way to work. If I had been in the old 370 or the 5.0 I would not have been able to fit through the hole I had to slip the S2K through. The car in front of me and the car behind me are totaled. I think the one behind me also got hit by a few other cars as well.

I was in the far right lane of the highway. Volume was high but the speed was up. Was behind a Silverado doing about 70 mph. A work van was next to me on the left. All of a sudden I see the Silverado lock up the front brakes, then make a hard left into the next lane.

Through the tire smoke I see a Prius at the back of a line of traffic stopped dead ahead in my lane. I get hard on the brakes but knowing I'm going to hit him if I stay in my lane I let off the brakes and chance it that the van to my left is paying attention and quickly dart over as far as I can to the left. I was able to get partially over into the left lane and managed not to hit the van and just narrowly squeaked by the Prius at about 40 mph.

The Corolla behind me slammed into the Prius and a couple other cars piled into the Corolla. Airbags off and everything.

Madness.

Moral of the story is to maintain a big gap between any car in front of you that you can't see through! Be careful out there, guys.

Also, this is the second close call that has me thinking I need to order PSS for the S2k right away. The last one was a giant metal pipe getting kicked up 20 ft in the air from a big truck ahead of me, then slamming down in my lane. Had to cross two lanes quickly to avoid it and the Hanpoop tires did not want to hold on.

Oh the top was down so the accident sound effects were pretty cool. Very violent!

Fire 06-27-2012 08:20 AM

Glad you are ok m4.
Onze I'm not even going to try and say that I understand all that LOL OK so I'm not a technology based person. I'm an old pothead from the 80's LOL Sounds like a very intensive project though and glad your on the home stretch. Get that virtual signature on the virtual line.

shadoquad 06-27-2012 08:21 AM

Steve, glad you are ok!

This is kind of wild. Here are the remnants of the accident on one of the traffic cams:

 Steve. Nice maneuvering and glad you're ok. Sad to say, people just don't understand gaps are your friend. I think hearing the accident with the top down would have been pretty cool myself.

m4a1mustang 06-27-2012 08:54 AM

I was paying extra attention to the Silverado since I couldn't see through him. Next time I'm going to leave double the gap.

I am pretty sure what happened is he wasn't paying attention then saw the Prius at the last second. Everyone behind me assumed everything was fine since he was going at a good pace.

It did sound really cool. Heard my tires and then the big crash sound from impact. My hearing was extra sensitive because I was trying to listen to see which side of the car I was going to rip off... left or right. :bowrofl:
