Through the tire smoke I see a Prius at the back of a line of traffic stopped dead ahead in my lane. I get hard on the brakes but knowing I'm going to hit him if I stay in my lane I let off the brakes and chance it that the van to my left is paying attention and quickly dart over as far as I can to the left. I was able to get partially over into the left lane and managed not to hit the van and just narrowly squeaked by the Prius at about 40 mph.

The Corolla behind me slammed into the Prius and a couple other cars piled into the Corolla. Airbags off and everything.

Madness.

Also, this is the second close call that has me thinking I need to order PSS for the S2k right away. The last one was a giant metal pipe getting kicked up 20 ft in the air from a big truck ahead of me, then slamming down in my lane. Had to cross two lanes quickly to avoid it and the Hanpoop tires did not want to hold on.

It is the biggest software deal we have ever worked on. We had first contact with these guys in Oct. 2011 when I answered a 1,647 line RFP that they send to 15 prospective vendors, now it's just us. :ugh2: i knew this was going to be some sort of PSS commercial/advertising campaigne... :shakes head: :icon17: just kidding! glad you made it okay! :tup: i had a similar situation back 20yrs+ ago when i was driving a pos civic-hb with no-season tires i saw a cavalier or something PARKED in the middle of the fast lane. we were all going pretty fast 75mph-ish and a trunk infront of me (blocking my view) suddenly swerved out of the lane to avoid hitting the parked cavalier giving me less than 0.5 sec to react.

with pos all seasons on a stock pos civic with 90K miles, i knew the only option. i went into the grass to avoid :icon17: hahaha. i thought my pos car would fall apart into pieces with tires blown and all. :eekdance: cars behind me also did the same and luckily noone hit, no blown tires. :tup: we all got out of our cars, and did the wtf dance. :ughdance: then hopped back into our cars and drove off.
