I've noticed a trend since you started working out... I believe it's spiked your estrogen levels. Better tone things down a bit, or go for TRT. :icon17:

Don't be so hard on yourself. I think about trading my cars for something new every week, ranging from boring but smart choices (Jetta TDI) to practical fun (Golf R) to the ridiculous (CTS-V).

It's part of being an enthusiast, imo

Also, "rod end" *snicker, snicker*

Unless I sell it for a '11-'12 GT500. Then my parts are going on that car and I'll be right back to bitching again. But I'll have 600+ hp at least. :bowrofl:

m4a1mustang 06-13-2012 09:52 AM

I tell you what I'm really thinking about now... Drift Spec S2000 probably needs to go to Grip Spec.

I had to avoid a huge pole (:bowrofl:) that was in the middle of the highway at 75 mph today. The Ventus V4 ES hankrap tires barely held on.

They make the car FUN FUN FUN in a controlled environment because it slides and drifts and puts a huge smile on my face... but I think it might be time to put Super Sports on it. No more drifting. :(

Chiana is also much heavier and has power to spin its one wheel.

S2K won't be able to spin **** with PSS and I've got a nice torsen diff. It will just grip and zip! I suppose that is what it was designed for.

These aren't that bad for an all-season. They actually give decent feedback. Grip is limited but in my case that's good (for fun).

I think Hankrap tires in general are probably ok on a light car, but on a heavy car like the Z they stink. I hated the side wall flex when I was running V12s on mine.

Now when it comes to summer street rubber I think PSS. They would be great on this car!

m4a1mustang 06-13-2012 10:00 AM

BTW, Shado, since you're here... when are we gonna go golf?!

huh, thanks for the insight.

yah, for me, i'll spend my money on bridgestones, michelins on my hobby cars. :) i think after all these yrs buying all sorts of different tires (less korean brands) i've come down to my 2 favorite brands.

This summer has been absolute hell on my schedule. Depending on how much I get done on the house this weekend, next weekend might be possible, or the following. the weekend after 7/4 probably a bad idea, then MAZOC BBQ, AAM open haus, then I'm in Vegas.

Possibly one of the next two weekends after this, possibly the Sunday after the BBQ or open haus.

Same here. When buying new tires I stick to Bridgestone/Michelin for the most part. I'll branch out when necessary. For instance, my winter tires are Dunlop and they are very good.

yep. i gave continental a try since people were raving about the DW's thats on my Z right now. yah, they're fine i like how light weight they are vs the stock RE050A's but doesn't quite meet kenchan standards. next up is PSS for sure. ive always been a fan of pilots.

Been looking at:

'11-'12 GT500
E92 M3
E90 M3
335i Coupe
535/550 Sedan

I think *if* I ever sold the 5.0 it'd be to get something more practical and suited to driving every day. I'd keep the S2000 for sporting fun. But whatever I bought would still have to be connected and fun. The 3 series is nice but probably small. I do like the previous generation 5 series quite a bit. A CPO model is not too hard on the wallet.

nothing abnormal there. We as enthusiast often do that :p

I must "build" a car on some manufacturers website at least a few times a week

Update/Western NY is a different kind of NY. Nothing like NYC area. Rochester is a friendly town. It's between Syracuse and Buffalo .. about 1 1/2 hour from Niagara Falls. Well, at least the suburbs are nice. :ugh2:

Tech and advisor aren't sure if replacing the fuel sending unit and/or gauge will fix the problem of the gauge not reading full.
Tech can't find the cam sensor oil leak but did find a coolant leak!

i see... that kinda sucks. but i think mazda's also discontinuing the current uglyface mazdaspeed3 pretty soon as ive started seeing picts of the next gen miata's and stuff with that skyactive or watever theme.

which does bring me to the focus ST. but im not a ford guy at all. and this neighbor a few doors down is a ford fanatic so im not sure if i want to be friends with this guy... he's kind of a crazy guy :icon17:

lol, im kinda skeptical replacing just the guage is going to fix your problem.
i recommend replacing the sending unit first and see wat happens. cluster is a simple circuit and LED's dont blow this early in the game... they are diodes, not bulbs.

yah, the abarth is cool  but i want something that i can carry stuff in.

although the very short wheelbase will ensure my kids' bicycles can park in the garage. im trying to kill several birds with one stone...

Common sense leads me in this direction as well, but they obviously lack this at the dealership. I'm about to say fvck it, just fix what you can and give me my baby back.

yah, this is why i hate the dealership... :ugh2: but for warranty work i suppose you have to let them play their game since they are paying for it. well, at your inconvenience...
