i finished installing my rebuilt kw's, z1 25 row oil cooler, stoptech ss brake lines, and front caliper swap (my driver side caliper paint got chewed up from a rock stuck in my wheel, replaced the entire caliper) today! only used 1 and a quarter bottle of motul though. should i have bled them more? didnt really see any air in the lines after a while so i stopped bleeding them |

Thanks, chops! :D. Yah, of you see no air bubbles and brakes are firm, should be okay. GoodAM everyone! :hello: |

In this case, it's function over form, or better yet, common sense over vanity. Good looking rims, mr. kensan. Good morning all! :tiphat: |
Morning fellas! Getting ready to :driving: the Z in to work. Blah, work.

I am sitting here, farting around on the forum, drinking coffee, eating banana nut bread and looking out the window to Battle Lake in the backyard. One last thing to do here before I go home -- taking care of 200 rounds of .40 over at the farm with my brother in law (FBI guy) and cousin. This particular Monday is not so bad. |

P.S. I can't believe they let you keep that arsenal! 200 rounds of ammunition? Who needs that much! |

hi mr.gurney- thanks! :hello: my G is my dressup car so ive lowered her and have 3pc SSRs. she sports prokit, d-specs, front and rear stillen swaybars, stillen heim joint camber rods ($), ARK Ti front strut bar ($$$), powergrid endlinks. she came out of the box with large wheel gap on the front and slow steering. she looks pretty now and drives tight...that's the way i like my G. she has no clearance issues on most of the roads here as long as i take it slow and on an angle. as for my Z, she looks great at stock height and i dont sense she needs suspension upgrade for the roads around here so no plans lowering. i might do sway bars down the road if someone (powergrid) offers adjustable endlinks front and rear for the 370Z. i want to be able to take the roads with full spirit, not slowing down over man-hole lids like cars that were tuned incorrectly for street. lol :rofl2: lowering a car just because everyone does it is wat naive folks do. unless specifically needed, no need to mess with the suspension on the Z. dude, those handles look great!
|
my Z is an inprogress track car, so lowering and stiffening is needed...
but the occasional jaunt around town is fun! :p |
happyz- where's your car in the pict? ;)

my G runs pretty rich when stock... not enough to have carbon buildup on the rear bumper, but my mpg shows. |

The crowning blow came when I hit an uncovered access hole (mini manhole), blew a tire and cracked all the paint on the front bumper when the car slammed to the ground and caught a ripple in the street. That was on Bissonnet between Kirby and Buffalo Speedway. |

I had a slightly different experience on drop when I was driving the bmw where it gave me some serious issues on both F&R cambers, well, rear camber arm and front camber-plate solved the problem but 4-wheel alignment had to be done all the time and the tires were feathered like crazy... :icon14: Same reason as Mr.gurny stated, I feel the ride on the Z is firm enough for DD, no point to stiffen it or lower it for now... :icon17: Quote:
Have a safe return flight :icon17: Quote:
Luckily I am not his optician... :ugh2: jk jk :bowrofl: Quote:
