Off of work today, and am already doing chores - dusting, vacuuming and bathrooms done.

Going off to get a clear bra put on the CR-V now. When I get back, it's bath time for the Z. The forecast "dry week" in Houston saw it rain every day. :ugh2:

Have a good Friday and a great weekend all. :tiphat:

I am guessing still another 30 days. The move with Tony really pushed things back further than they originally anticipated. Its a good thing for him I broke my leg or he would have me all over his ***!

i speak from experience, but to successfully drive the Fit without psychologically killing yourself is to drive it slow. especially on the AT, drive slow like you're sitting at the very back of the bleachers minding your own biz away from the crowd. then it's not as bad. if you try to make the thing go fast, it is a f-king hell hole! i kept the AT Fit (the one i sold was MT, much better but hated seating position) since my wife can't drive MT. each time i drive it i come home pissed cause the AT f-king sucks on the thing.

damn, 30day is a long time. hope your leg heals by then so you're ready to :driving: when your car's back.

I am glad to hear that we shared the same frustrations. Hers is the AT and wow is it bad... I have driven plenty of civics, other entry level cars and didnt hate it as much as that thing.. I thought I was just spoiled but obviously I am not the only one! By then I should be able to drive it so I guess it is going to work out okay.

yah, whoever designed the shitty-AT on that thing must've done it as a prank. everything sucks on it. the completely disconnected throttle feel torque converter, the stupid tiny mickymouse levers (paddles) that spin with the steering wheel.

the f-king magazine spec racer types that have no money but pretend to talk cars and feel like a race car driver with mickymouse levers! :rofl2:

i asked my wife if she ever used it. she said no. lol the only time i use is downshifting with a slight blip to rev-match. but still, once it's in the lower gear the torque converter just slips to a sloppy ugly mess. :ugh2:

Have you driven any civics around the same year? I wanna know why they didnt just keep the same tranny... and also for an econo car and its size, AND lack of power I feel the MPG on the fit leaves something to be desired...

i had a 8th gen civic sedan EX before and it was AT. the AT on that sucked just as bad, but no paddles. at least the seating position was good and it was actually a pretty decent car.

i traded that in and got the MT FitSport. the MT fit is night/day different and actually fun to drive. but EVERYTHING IS IN SLOW MOTION! :icon17:

I did say that to myself that if it were an MT I would at least be able to tolerate it.. I mean I had a better time driving my other cousins daewoo than the fit.. At least his is an MT though

yep, the Fit has to be had in MT to be enjoyable. the reason i sold it was the seating position. i tolerated it while my younger kid went from infant to toddler, but once he was able to get in/out of the car on his own i sold the Fit and just been using my G.

G's great on sunny days and all but when it was pouring one time my passenger door got drenched while i was buckling up the younger kid and it was not good. :ugh2: thus i want to get a winter dd and winter beater/grocery getter.

Super Tanooki 07-27-2012 12:31 PM

I've been desperately trying to determine the source of an annoying ticking sound that comes from my dash when I get over 4000rpm. I think it might be something wrong with the RPM gauge inside the gauge cluster, because the ticking speeds up in rhythm as the RPM rises, and it's DEFINITELY not coming from the engine. I'm hoping its just a faulty gauge cluster assembly - looks like an easy replacement.

TerribleONE 07-27-2012 12:33 PM

is it a tick or a rattle..? are you running stock exhaust?

kenchan 07-27-2012 12:53 PM

watever it is, that sounds annoying. :icon14: hope you get a replacement soon, tanooki. :)
