Too late. Both of your electronic finger prints have been loaded into my database here at Langley....er Houston.

Sorry ms. pint, this was a loyalty test that you failed miserably. I had a drone follow you, JAR, and the other GM Z on your little cruise. mr. JAR can handle a car pretty well. I may have a little "job" for him down in Venezuela next week. I guess I need to find out if he's ever done a HALO (Google it) jump before.

Carry on citizens, carry on.

I agree, it needs rims BADLY, I hate them. A drop would def be nice too.

Everyone cant have factory RAYS, Ken :icon17:

AWD causes more parasitic loss than RWD or FWD... Other than that maybe gearing. I was going to say heavy but I checked and it's actually about 2900 lbs, which is surprisingly light.

EazyD 07-23-2012 04:04 PM

There was a FR-S autocrossing with me earlier in the month - it looked pretty nice (wheels were decent) and got good times.

yah, they dropped the weight and also the powerband from the previous gen. which is fine, but the fastest ive seen is 8sec 0-60mph time and that's probably with a tranny shattering like glass launch with a 5k drop. :ugh2:
rolling start to 60mph is 9.5sec  how do you manage living with a 10sec rolling start car when they're asking for $22K?

2K more and got a mazdaspeed3 tearing up the road with sub-6sec launch.

Yes it is  I'm very pleased with it, though I wish I didn't have to use so much gas to hear it regularly :icon17: An exhaust sure would help, but its on hold for a while.

Thank you, sir :tiphat: Funny you should mention: my cousin just finished up his sophomore year at Va. Tech and is currently in his first week of two of jump training  I would love to do something like that myself, but some training would definitely be in order prior to doing a HALO jump :icon17:

Yes! :icon18:

Nearly doubled the mileage on the Acura (to ~750) today as I took it to Tennessee Colony, Texas (don't ask). Wife took the Z to work, since I knew I'd be driving some dirt roads. Got back and stopped by the office to find my black fuel gauge cover from Simota  He was nice enough to send me another one after the first one got lost in the bowels of USPS. I'll post pics after I install later this week.

Pintsize725 07-23-2012 07:36 PM

Headed down to give the interior some Meguiars love. Let's see how it turns out. :)

Evening folks. :hello:

Today I removed the painters tape I used to temporarily hold the carbon fiber interior bits while the small amounts of adhesive set. Turned out excellently. Now I need to find time to snap some photos.

Waiting for a shipment from the Z store... More goodies :yum:

It does sound :yum: I wish i could devote more time to my poor Z but family comes first, business next. My to-do list is not getting done fast enough for me. I've given up on finishing the car this summer, I'll get everything done this fall/winter and be ready to enjoy next year

Only 1/4 of my family is Mexican, the non-Mexicans are equally loud and more embarrassing.

I fit 4 OEM sport package-size tires in my Z today. Not safe. Would not recommend. The worst part was I took a turn sort of sharply, which made the 3 tires in the front shift left - one of which leaned on the steering wheel. Rubber tire + steering wheel = no turn, mid-turn. Almost hit someone.

However, I got to the garage in one trip..

Yup, it was pretty crazy!
Here is a video proving I could actually shift. The door was not shut, but it definitely shut (just barely). Really could only use your wrist muscles to shift while using your forearm to make sure the tire on the center console didn't roll forward.

yah, especially with the little one im sure there's not much time to spare. :)

hope you get your body kit painted, etc this fall. yah, ive decided to go with the nismo's (not the s-tune) and not the SSR's this time. main reason is that the nismo's are at least 3lbs lighter and less bling vs the MS3.

speaking of MS3 as in mazdaspeed3, i am pretty certain to get that in the next month or so... maybe late Aug just in time for kids starting school. the G's been great for dd-ing but for kids pickups every other day, it's a tad big of a hassle and can't carry anything. will still keep the G though and use as dd in the summer time until i am certain to retire her completely. :p
