while i think that's a sloppy job by the manufacturer, wat's the big deal about drilling a hole?

just use a step drill bit and a file. then touchup the open wound with either clear coat or some black gloss enamel.

I just hate the idea of having to drill through carbon fiber. The fitment is great and it looks beautiful..... so close, yet so far.

I found another trunk release button in back of the passenger seat that involves the actual car key. I'm using this for now.

This is for a roadster , keep in mind.

Well since the trunk release is blocked, does that mean that the license plate bulbs are blocked as well, making the car illegal to drive at night?

it's no big deal. just drill the hole, use some clearcoat or black gloss enamel to close the wound. that's all.

A) God bless for updating a thread a year after you made it

B) Just wait, cops will pull you over in no time. No lights in the rear are REALLY obvious. And IMO, that's 10 times ghettoer that there aren't cutouts for the lights

A) rep for that (when they reset)

B) my cheap LED replacements weren't staying lit when I originally installed them, so I went back to stock to avoid any hassles over it - I now have higher quality LED bulbs with secure connections that work great

Have you done this mod yet? What about just the backing or is this just cheap looking?
