I'm working on the vids. I have a Gopro HD2 but the video came out a little messed up because I accidentally smeared sunscreen on the lens cover. Today I plan on detailing the Z to clean off all the bugs and grit from the road trip to Myrtle Beach.

And a very good morning to you as well Mr Gale:tiphat:

Im heading outside shortly to trim back the forest that is growning into my driveway seeing as how its surounded by woods. Lots of pricker bush branches have been trying to ruin my Z's paint. A few have managed to leave a few little scratches:mad: Its time to exact my revenge on those bastards. I also need to rake out the stone at the end of the driveway, its a bit tore up and Im starting to bottom out. I know the Konis didnt lower it that much but it sure feels like it. Im scraping everywhere since the install. After I finish my duties as a homeowner Im gonna wash the Z and take her out for some pics. Havent got some good new shots in quite sometime.

Hey Ken, when you return from your drive let me know how you dealt with Plasti Dip overspray. I remember it really p1ssin you off:icon17:. I was pretty careless when doing my mirrors and got some on each door:facepalm:

GMORNING to everyone else :tiphat:

Just sold my first HD Hero and ordered the HERO2. Cant wait for it to get here:tup: May I suggest the purchase of an external mic for better sound quality. I pretty much only sold my old GoPro for the new one cause it supports an external mic. The sound quality on the GoPro def leaves something to be desired, especially when filming motorsports! Here is a link to a mic a few of us are using

IMWEZL 04-29-2012 10:05 AM

Thanks for the link on the external mic. I think I'll pick one of those up soon.

Here's a vid of me driving my a$$ off only to spin out at the end. This probably would have been my fastest run. From my count I think this could have been a high 39 second run which would had placed me right there with a Super Stock C5 Z06 running on Hoosiers.

Good thing you mentioned that the old gopro hd does not come with mic input jack. I was about to pull the trigger on the AT mic. Just read a review on the version 2, gonna pick it up and keep the old one for the bros car. Two questions for you Mr. Alchemy, where and how much for ver 2 and cant seem to find any adaptor for mmounting the mic to tube I have for the gopro to mount on the headrest. I purchased my first gopro form a vendor on this forum

Happy Sunday to all

More hardworking today, tuning the exhaust after I now have more air flow. Still looking to mod up a quick release panel for the fang vent.

Pulled out of my development yesterday with a cobra on my tail, got on the gas and the pipe really came on, he gave me the thumbs up, very noice compliment coming from ford guy.

Short ad says: "I have Fast Intentions long tube headers and catback with 18" resonators and carbon cans for sale."

He posted it on the Austin Z FB Page Thursday so I hope I wasn't too late by contacting him last night.

happytheman 04-29-2012 11:48 AM

Hmm, long tube headers will replace the cats. Yer setup will be very free flowing, that's for sure. Wow!

Question is, do I really need all that or am I just content with the CBE? Decisions, decisions.

happytheman 04-29-2012 12:13 PM

Yup, that's a good question to ask yourself. It would be helpful for you to hear someone else's with a set of LTH to get an idea of what to expect. Do you have any local meets nearby?

alcheng 04-29-2012 12:19 PM

The Austin group is actually getting together next Sunday so I'll see if anyone is running a similar set up.
I hate waiting to hear back from someone about something I really want. :p

hi mr.happy. :hello: it depends on what you are wrapping. if it's something flat it's easy. when it's curvy then it can get challenging. you will want to have a heatgun. i used a small one for embossing when i did my interior bits. :)
