It's been a long day. Took Mini GaleForce to get some more "chips and dust" he got to see a couple of front end loaders and dump trucks.... He was so happy

Then I moved 2800 lbs of decorative stone, and spent the rest of the day installing it. It was like summer here, 21°c great day for working outside all day.

Instead of responding to a bunch of posts, I just rep'd a bunch of you guys until I hit my limit.

hey mr.gale! that sounds like fun. i remember taking my kids to 'touch a truck day' or watever it's called. they climbed into fire engines, driver's seat of ambulances, cranes, loaders, diggers, skid steer, lawn mower.. lol.

dang, 2800lbs of stone sound like you moved a FRS.

hi mr.alcheng- yah, for a hobby car it's cool to have this wow-factor thingiamagigger thingie. not sure how valuable for most users though. i think a quick scanguage setup will do just as well. i just didnt like the tiny (an boring  ) screen on that thing. the nuvi's screen is so much better. :p

Nice.

I tell you what; photography school is looking better and better. All this work, effort, stress and hostility for what? So we can land a deal or two, then move on to more work, effort, stress and hostility to chase and land other, shinier deals. All the while, the deal becomes the biggest thing in everyone's life. It becomes bigger than us as people; more important than process improvement or value-adding. Forget about following SOP's forget about the fact that there is such a thing as capacity and it is usually finite. Let's SELL SELL SELL SELL!!!!

Yippee. Let's all hold hands, exchange nice flowery talk about value propositions, competitive advantages, customer-facing collateral and go-forward marketing strategies in our business ecosystems. It makes me want to stick a fork in my eye sometimes.

I seriously did not want to grow up and be doing this. Screw the paycheck, profit-sharing and 401(k). I have become that which I rallied against when I was young and idealistic. I am a sell out just like The Who – licensing their songs for TV.

That’s all for now. Sorry for the rant. I got my therapist’s voicemail just now.

I know. I became a capitalist after school too. Sometimes I like it, sometimes not. The beginning lyrics to the Dream Theater song "Octavarium" sum up my feelings pretty much.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can see through the corporate B.S. Don't let the job get you down Mr.onzedge. It's not worth it.

I don't like the corporate system but I am one greedy money hungry sob. My life is all about making more green. Money buys happiness my friends.

Very nice! I wish more Zs around here were willing to meet up. Maybe I should move closer to a hot spot.

I find it hard to believe that there's not a huge Z following in the Austin/Houston/San Antonio area.
