I've got some questions for you guys.

Can you Koni without Swifting? Would there be any benefit?

What mods make the Z need a tune?

GaleForce 05-19-2012 09:25 PM

Back in the house for the night. I still have 80% of the car to correct. :icon14:

Today I was trying out my new Griots machine and new Meguires Micro Fiber cutting pad and D300. The Griots machine is :yum:. Anyone want a practically new PCXP? Anyhow, I really liked the results I was getting until I had a failure...

Hmm, this looks normal,

Hey! Wait a minute!

Something isn't right,

Apparently it's common for these to fail, so I was kind of expecting it, just not so soon. I only used this pad for the hood and roof. Boo! Good thing they come in packs of two.

Here's a teaser, getting work done...

1. Yes you can. The Koni's would probably feel more responsive over the stock struts.

2. generally, intake + HFC + CBE = Uprev (tuning)

Thank you sir! So if I only run an intake + CBE, I shouldn't need it?

ZMan8 05-19-2012 10:18 PM

so I just returned from a bbq at a friends house and got to drive his s2k. Finally I know 2 things:

1. I fit :happydance:
2. It really is a fun car especially in high rpm.

You should be ok. But you could always put an Uprev on your "I got money burning in my pocket and I need to spend it" list.

I don't think you'd have problems running the breathing bolt-ons without a tune, you just won't be optimized.

Nah I wouldn't bother with a tune until you have the full fledge of mods. That's when you will reap the most benefit. :)

1) You should be fine with the Swifts alone, unless you need aggressive handling and bumpy ride, for DD purpose, the Swifts is just fine....

2) If you only have intake and CBE, you don't really need it, the ECU can make adjustment for the intake.

At least the top three breather mods: intake, HFC and CBE.

Intake can be defined as any modification that "improves" stock. Notice the quotes. I did that because there is little improvement necessary to the stock air box.

Wow! Whole lotta nuthin' going on in here tonight.
