What did you do with your Z today III

Hi guys. WTH is up with me working my a$$ off during this vaca? Got the pool cleaned and filled. Also filled and cleaned the hot tub. The pool skimmer is running and the hot tub is warming. I think I'll just do some yard work tomorrow. Oh forgot, changed the pto belt on the mover( yes it broke today).

Good evening gang

It's been a long day. Took Mini GaleForce to get some more "chips and dust" he got to see a couple of front end loaders and dump trucks.... He was so happy

Then I moved 2800 lbs of decorative stone, and spent the rest of the day installing it. It was like summer here, 21°c great day for working outside all day.

Instead of responding to a bunch of posts, I just rep'd a bunch of you guys until I hit my limit.

My nephews where out to see the fire truck deliver the water for my pool. Little boys love trucks and heavy equip.

My little guy loves the fire trucks too. He has a fireman outfit that he loves to wear, helmet, coat, boots... We live close to a fire hall so I took him there for a tour. He got to sit in the drivers seat of one of the trucks, then I sat him on the front bumper to get a photo, a guy working for the newspaper thought it was a good idea and asked if I would mind If he took a photo for the paper. that sounds like fun. i remember taking my kids to 'touch a truck day' or watever it's called. they climbed into fire engines, driver's seat of ambulances, cranes, loaders, diggers, skid steer, lawn mower.. lol.

dang, 2800lbs of stone sound like you moved a FRS.

I had to make an emergency DSW run, which reminds me of a joke that Hazzazi told me once:

Two gay guys are talking along a river bank when an alligator jumps out. One of the gay guys screams, "Look, it's Lacoste!!!"

I tell you what; photography school is looking better and better. All this work, effort, stress and hostility for what? So we can land a deal or two, then move on to more work, effort, stress and hostility to chase and land other, shinier deals. All the while, the deal becomes the biggest thing in everyone's life. It becomes bigger than us as people; more important than process improvement or value-adding. Forget about following SOP's forget about the fact that there is such a thing as capacity and it is usually finite. Let's SELL SELL SELL SELL!!!!

Yippee. Let's all hold hands, exchange nice flowery talk about value propositions, competitive advantages, customer-facing collateral and go-forward marketing strategies in our business ecosystems. It makes me want to stick a fork in my eye sometimes.

I seriously did not want to grow up and be doing this. Screw the paycheck, profit-sharing and 401(k). I have become that which I rallied against when I was young and idealistic. I am a sell out just like The Who – licensing their songs for TV.
