For a few years, I thought I could drink. Then my buddy married into a Scottish family. We were put to shame immediately :shakes head: About the only drinking related activity I can beat them in still is shotgunning. Of course, there is almost never beer around any more that is crappy enough to shotgun.

The next day, they wanted to go to breakfast like nothing happened..

They were part of a Professional Futbal (Soccer) team...I was hurting for days...

I learned my lesson..

That is the worst!! Even when I felt like I could hang with them during the drinking, they woke up and ate stuff for breakfast that I can barely stomach when I'm sober :rofl2:

On a sour note, I've called around for quotes to replace the clutch on my Accord. By book hours its about 15 hours of labor  Pretty much every quote rounded to about $2500 :shakes head:

Time for another Z?!?!?! I say yes, accountant and bank account say no : (

alas... yes. otherwise I would probably recruit a buddy of mine to DIY it.

kenchan 06-08-2012 02:54 PM

JAR- considering you cant buy a new car for 2500 i think replacing clutch is a good idea if the accord has meaning to you.

The Accord is a great car and a fun DD. I get just under 30 mpg typically and 20-25ish with spirited driving, which is quite fun considering 240hp plus six speed. It was a great deal when we bought it ($18K with 30K miles) and has been a pretty reliable car. The few issues we've had (mostly electrical) have been covered under warranty and were pretty much taken care of immediately after purchase. I did just have the timing belt replaced at 110K miles, and spending the $$$ to replace the clutch would definitely encourage me to hang onto it a bit longer. I also cannot say enough about not having a car payment on it. As for looking good, the paint is pretty gnarly - don't let the glossy signature pic fool you. The roof and rear deck lid paint is shot and needs to be repainted completely. I don't see us getting rid of the Honda unless it is to get my wife something else (in which case I get the Z for DD  or maybe keep the Honda as DD and garage the Z).
