Good am guys! I haven't signed in the last few days so not sure what went on.
I did motor my Z over the weekend and had a great time. :p

I also learned a very clean way to get audio from the cabin for my GoPro. Need separate recorder. :)

Good morning guys. Nice drive to work this morning. There's a cop that sets up a speed trap about 100 meters AFTER the entrance to my on-ramp to the highway. Trollolololololol

Lookin good.

Sounds like a nice birthday score Fire! did the ninja raccoons put a bow on a case of Mike's hard lemonade for you?

They bought me a case of Bud Light Platinum but they drank it all. The case was empty.:shakes head:

What is it that you "quit" Ms. Pintsize?? :tiphat:

Good morning Z community! :hello:

How goes it with everyone?

I motored my Z this morning into work, perfect weather...smooth tunes (both from my HU and my exhaust). Lots of grippy grippyness from my PSS and heads turned at intersections when I blew through during a 2-3 @ 3k rpm! :yum:

Trollololol indeed :ugh2: Many moons ago I got a speeding ticket for entering the highway too fast. Ticket was for 69 in a 65, and incredulously, I asked the officer how many people he had pulled over from the left hand lane since they were driving 75 and I was just trying to merge with traffic going 70 in the right lane... :shakes head: I did, however, learn a valuable lesson in courtesy from that incident that has gotten me out of several tickets since. To this day I wonder if I could have gotten out of that one. :shrugs:

Off topic: We were walking our 2 Pomeranians and Opie, our Bichon, yesterday afternoon around our neighborhood. Out from a backyard came a Golden Retriever at full speed. I thought not too much about it until his last 10 feet of sprinting when I realized that he was not coming out just to say hello.

He frigging grabbed Opie in a flash and proceeded to try to kill him. I got down on my knees and started to pound the crap out of him, with Mrs. Dr, onzedge kicking the crap out of him. The owner was right behind and started whaling on him to, all the while Opie is screaming at the top of his lungs.

We got him off and took him home where my wife administered first aid to Opie and me. Opie then went to the vet for stiches, x-ray and an overnight stay. He has some nice puncture wounds and a few broken teeth with a fractured jaw. I have some nice bites on my left hand and serious road rash on my knees. I think Opie will be all right, but Jeesh, it happened in a flash.

The owner was simply walking his dog from the back of his house to the front door and feels terrible and is paying all of the bills.

No more walking without one of my Glocks, I swear.

Anyway, hug your dogs today.

Surprises me that a Golden would be that vicious. I'm sorry that happened. Poor Opie!

We just had to put down my mom's lab this weekend. He was 13, truly great dog. His hips and back knees were in horrible shape, and the vets think he had some lung and stomach cancer going on. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do was driving that dog to the vet. He was one of the best dogs I've ever had.

I underestimated how vicious dogs can be and how hard it is to pull them apart.

Pintsize725 06-04-2012 10:33 AM

Poor Opie, please give him a hug from me when he's OK to accept it. He's too cute to have even been attacked like that.

I know that one myself. I had to hold an angry rottweiler off of a lab a decade ago. The Rott's owner was not in control of her dog. I literally had both dogs by the collar, holding them apart, holding the rott off me, too.

shadoquad 06-04-2012 10:46 AM

It just goes to show, you can make any dog mean, just like you can raise any dog to be nice. Purebred dogs have temperament assumptions that you can make when they are pups, mutts are a roll of the dice. Regardless, any dog can be trained to be vicious or social early on. It might take more work to make a pit social, versus a lab, and likewise more work to make the lab vicious, versus a pit, but it can be done.
