Nick, not sure about this, but there is a rumor that the Stillen Splitter comes off at high speeds when installed with the provided screws. You may want to search the site, but I think other folks have avoided all problems by buying better screws at local hardware stores.

Again, I might be mistaken, but you may want to check into that.

I have heard the same thing from two different people.

The question is...When the splitter splits, what does it hit ? what ever it is, that can't be good..

It becomes an ad-hoc speed bump.

hello, mr.gale! :hello: ahhh, thank you for asking. YES it is! the road is finally smooth and clean again. :D

All in all, damage to my car was minimal, i think. im going to use some RC car motor spray on the insides of my splash-guards later this week to remove any remaining tar and put some slick wax on there. :)

i get more damage from the idiot lawnmower/grass trimmer buttfaces...

Pintsize725 05-22-2012 11:13 AM

So I tried to reach out to Mr. AK about this but does anyone know what the rules are for putting a sales link in your sig? The company I work for is venturing into the offbrand sound deadening market and I wouldn't mind trying to help some forum brothers out if they needed it. Thinking about doing it on my doors to eliminate the rattling. I know this is the wrong section but the guys who post here are more knowledgeable.

For thread relevancy: I drove to work and listened to the wonderful sound of the TDX. Thinking about dropping some $$ on the Z1 post MAF set up.

m4a1mustang 05-22-2012 11:16 AM

No sales links unless you are a sponsor.

kenchan 05-22-2012 11:19 AM

yep, people report unauthorized sales links.

become a sponsor first.

Pintsize725 05-22-2012 11:22 AM

Thanks for the heads up. I'm well aware of the issue and I can tell you there's no way in hell I'm going to be using the provided hardware. I'm friends with the body shop I'm going to be bringing my car to, so when they install it I'm going to make sure it's bolted on nicely.

Mr.onzedge, I think you'll be ok because you use Canon lenses and the coffee mug is Nikon.
