Since we're sharing old pics, this is me along with the cast from a lost John Hughes film circa 1987:

Good morning all! :hello:

Looks like my original post this morning got lost in the bowels of another "site problem". What's up with that lately?

Still rockin the wife's MDX while she's out of town. Noticing how really bad some of the surrounding streets are has me thinking about getting another car for a daily driver. Here's the current ideas:

1) get a Fit (official car of mrs. Kenchan!) for my DD (reminds me of my 1979 CVCC 5-speed Civic);
2) buy the wife a CR-V and make the MDX my DD; or
3) buy the wife a CR-Z and make the MDX my DD.

My choice is #3 but it's her car and her choice. She finally saw one in person and admitted to liking it a lot. We were always fans of the CR-X, so this one has a little extra appeal.

Who knows where this will lead. I'll keep you posted.

Have a great day guys! :tiphat:

gmorning, mr. gurney! yes, my wife drives a 09 FitSport. she likes it a lot. she takes it to her clients place where they only do valet parking (downtown) so she is happy that it is not a car she (or i for that matter!) care much about.

the one thing i HATE about the Fit is the seating position and pedal location. it was intentionally made for short people with short legs. im standard j-arse size but my legs are quite american length... which means im driving around as though im riding my kid's bike. lol :rofl2: for short trips this is acceptable (home depot  ) but for any trips more than 20min it is a huge PITA... back killer. :ugh2: thus i dont want another Fit.

another POS car im looking at is the chevy sonic 6MT with turbo. 0-60 is had in about 8sec which is quick for these cars. nice looking interior  and donky exterior. :ugh2: 6MT  but donkey exterior :ugh2:. nice utility  but dumb exterior :ugh2:. tier1 discount  but hey look at me, im riding a vacuum cleaner. :ugh2: you get the picture where im at. :icon17:

i saw a modded CRZ the other weekend. it was lowered and had a nice body kit. it actually looked  but 2seater and not much utility = :ugh2: for me... i need a hatch that can carry my Z wheels... oh, and my kids. :p

Did I really bust your happy bubble with the no 285/35 option? I'll be honest, I was pretty displeased about it myself. Enough so that I emailed Michelin to ask 'em "what's up wit that?"!

If only thier bosses knew what they were doing on company time...haha. I wonder how many really know that most companies IT Security division can and do see everywhere and everything that is viewed and typed on their company computers. Makes me wonder in this jobless nation how peeps take for granted thier job security.

The stock size Michelin PSS just will look WRONG on my current setup. 25mm spacers in rear with RE-11's 285/35. Side by side with PSS and 20mm spacers.... mine looks like something is happening out back. Prolly look towards the Bridgestone’s S04's. :tiphat:

Props to you Mr. onzedge :tiphat: It's not often one can pursue their hobby and make a go at it as their profession. :tiphat:

oh.... and noice avatar, was wondering when you going to the fat man....can he sing? Sponorship? Will you share some of that royality check? :icon18:

mr.zforce- i run S04's on my G. 245/35/19 and 275/35/19. they are FANTASIC tires...they grip very well wet or dry..and are quiet, great looking, sidewalls are :yum:, made in japan, and so far wearing very well.

the only down side is weight. thing weighs a ton (31-32lbs) vs the PSS (25-27lbs).
PSS are made in USA  and France. as a consumer it is my duty (lol) to try to buy only american (canadian, mexican included per NAFTA), japanese, or french. only reason why i included french is not because of cheeze fries, but cause nissan's top guy is a french guy. :icon17: hahaha (and i want to try pss :p ).

Bought my wife a Nespresso (Crate & Barrel) machine for Christmas. The cups are like $0.50 each but way cheaper than a $5 latte at Starbucks. Double espresso w/o leaving the house FTW
