Morning Z fams :hello:

Windy in the valley, 20mph gusts, sunny. Heading over to Wal-lee's to pick up Z cleaning materials for a wash down. Will be cleaning the koi pond and work on the house. Dinner (Sushi) tonight with some old friends I have not seen in 12yrs.

Time flies by, grab every opportunity and hang on.

:tiphat: OTH

Just make sure you get the calipers and wheels looking like new or better before you use Wheel Armour. Like everything, preparation is the key.

Good morning guys. Long day ahead of me. Just finished pressing out old bushings for my lower control arms and pressing new ones in. Got to reinstall, install new bump stops, change diff fluid, change oil, check torque specs on suspension bits then clean the car up. Then the car should be ready to go for ZDayZ.

I haven't repped anyone in a couple days. I promise I'll catch up with rep tonight!

kenchan 05-05-2012 11:21 AM

while under the car, i cleaned up a lot of bolt heads and frame bits that still had salt on them :ugh2: i used paper towels that had some old motor oil on it and rubbed the salt off. looks clean again and hope the oil keeps it protected for a while. :D

Tell me, the neighbors (renters) always park their cars, trucks in front of my house. I get no respect.

Reps coming your way for the DIY. :tiphat:

Mr. Kenchan -- we are still here in Reno, enjoying Siena Hotel/Casino food. One more day of meetings lies ahead.

Um, how do I put how happy this exhaust makes me into words? .......hmm......does "I just came" work?
I'm so glad I decided to make this the first mod. I was in front of the auto shop when I heard it turn on and could not stop smiling. Took a very spirited drive home to enjoy it.

I need a better way to capture it, but here's a really crappy video taken by the spouse:

There's only one issue.......and maybe you guys can give me your opinion.
Since I bought used, the heat wrap was not included of course. The shop used this instead: Amazon.com: Silver Heat Protector Insulating Fire Sleeve Spark Plug Wire Boot 8 Cyl: Automotive to protect two lines. each one was about 6 inches in length. Do you guys think this is adequate enough?

Srenity 05-05-2012 11:37 AM

Happy Cinco de Drinko everyone!!!

m4a1mustang 05-05-2012 11:38 AM

Congrats glad you enjoy it. What ever lines they are trying to keep heat away from should be fine with that fire sleeve. And yes I think "I just came" is a universal sign of being very happy.

Workations are fun, especially when you have your significant other to share with. Have a great day Mr.onzedge :hello:

:hello: Yes sir, to a much more orange version of me. (Damn lighting)

This is shaping up to be an all about Z day:
-Debating on whether or not to go buy screws/washers for seat mod. Don't want to deal with Saturday shopping crowds though.
-Need to figure out what to do with the stock cat back.
-Need to find a way to drain some oil without having a set up at home. Grr.
-Taking her to get washed and interior cleaned after the sun goes down.

Thanks, man. Yes -- having my wife along makes it easier. I am stuck in meetings today and she is stuck in the spa. Tonight, we wrap with a nice dinner that will make it on my expense account and maybe continued finacial donations at the balckjack tables.
