Kinda hard to tell, but it doesn't appear that you would ever need to consider such things anyways. :)

Nope, I need to go the opposite direction.

Both of these are reason why I like having deliveries shipped to my office address. I swear business deliveries are always earlier in the day - I get my stuff by lunch then go home and realize I really, really want to take off the rest of the day. Also, there's always someone there to sign.

happytheman 05-15-2012 04:38 PM

Makes sense. Businesses are their bread-winners. Personal deliveries got nothin' on businesses.

I especially like how they will make me sign for a 10 dollar electrical connector or something, but have left $1,500 laptops or Pilot Super Sports sitting on my porch in the middle of the day. I know that the shipper specifies this, but can't the drivers use a little common sense?

Fire 05-15-2012 04:48 PM

I think there should be a code on the label that says what the value is, maybe the delivery people could use some judgment about leaving it.

My parents always had a trashcan around the side of the house and arranged for the delivery guy to drop packages in when he had to leave them (or hide behind it if too big to put inside). At the office we have an agreement with our suite neighbors that we sign for each other's stuff and hold it until someone comes and gets it, so that's nice, too.

Fire 05-15-2012 04:53 PM

yah, office is fine, but dont do it with your neighbors cause they might order something embarrassing yet you open it by accident cause there were like a total of 5 boxes between you and the neighbor. and now you have to face your neighbor later her xxxxx just arrived... :ugh2: :icon17:
