Default New Z owner with a quick question.

I just got my Z a few weeks ago, and am just wondering if it is bad at all to always keep my Z in sport mode?i like the way it downshifts automatically, but is there any long term harm thats gonna be done. If someone can answer i'd appreciate it!

Whoa you got a 6-speed and it downshift automatically! That's amazing a manual that shifts itself.

Many people on this forum keep it on, myself included. Although I've only had my Z for a few months. I haven't come across a thread where it became a prob for someone.

the opposite... rev matching means less wear and tear on the clutch, less chance of overstressing the drivetrain... leave it on and enjoy

Generally the only time I've seen somebody have a problem with it is when they change the diff ratios. Even then it isn't off by a lot (a few hundered rpm iirc)

Leaving it on makes less wear & tear on the transmission

I make sure to downshift to first or second if there's a crowd, works even if you leave the clutch in. (especially leave the clutch in if you go to first)

This way I don't look like a fool trying to heel toe and failing/stalling when I'm just trying to brake to a stop
