I'd looked at all the options and was pretty convinced I wanted to go with the Gen 3s. Found a few threads on the post MAFs from Z1 and a drop in (I went with K & N) and decided to go that route. $300-$400 less than a full intake, easier to install / clean and at least part of the gains. And pretty blue tubes, too.
In fact, FedEx just dropped off my filters a few minutes ago so I'm going to do the install tonight.
