Press and Hold or Press and Let Go?

I'm a valet and just about every single newer model vehicle is either push start or just flick the key and release. It actually annoys me to have to hold the button down during the whole process instead of just pressing an releasing. New range rovers are one of the few newer vehicles with push start that require you to hold the button the whole time instead of just pressing and releasing, they need to step their game up
