Mr. Mustang is Master if Understatement. You have to work very hard to make the PSS break traction and that's a afact.

In 2nd gear, WOT coming out of tighter corners at Spring Mountain the back end of the Z06's stayed planted. The PS2 line is the best their is for a performance oriented street tire imo.

Everything I've seen indicates the PSS is quicker than the PS2.

PSS is not in ZP format, so could not be run on the 'vette "technically".

If/when I get new tires for the Z, it will be the newer PSS like you mention, though.
