No matter how good the value of the ZL1 or how good is the production plant, you still have to wait until they start assembling it... and get a ORDER# from the dealer. Ask Mr.Fire, he still have no idea when will he get a order# since he place an order more than a month ago.... ![]() |

Since it crossed your mind at all I would say go get the Chevy. The real question is not whether or not it's a better car than the Z it's a matter of you not being satisfied with your Z or, as some might see it, not being loyal to the Z brand. If you're not happy then by all means continue the search.

Back to the topic at hand, the ZL1 is a beast! It looks crazy aggressive and performs fantastically from the reviews I've read. Yes it's heavy, but that magno suspension works miracles for its handling. For under $60k, a ZR1 motor and magno shocks is a steal! On a track this car would smoke a Z. If you can afford it, why the hell not. Yes camaros might not be that rare, but the ZL1 sure doesn't look like a stock camaro.

No there is a huge price difference. You are being misled on price difference in the states. And though the vette throws out an occasional 8k off on the bottom 2 models and 10k off on the Z06. Its not there base price or what they run for 10/12th's of the year.
