What heads are you running? I have the CC Magnum 280. Combined with the AFR 195 Eliminators the car is now a rocket. Highly recommend the AFR's. The best that's out there for a reasonable price.

Hey there.. I am running the LT-1 2.02 Heads. They are the Stock big valve heads with some machine work.

They come from the factory with guide plates and screw in studs, ect...

It comes on about 3000 to 3500RPM and pulls hard to redline 6500rpm..

You can really feel it..I also went with the 1.52 Roller rockers...

Engine has 20K Miles on it, so I may need to freshen it in the next few years...

Just did a top end build on my '76 'vette. The AFR 195 Eliminator aluminium heads really lets the engine breathe!

Love the Picture....Sweet engine.

I went to my high school alumni association meeting, Class of 59, drove from Tidewater Virginia to north-central Ohio and back over 3 days, most of it at night, 8 hours straight on the road last night. Entomology is not what I was looking for.

Looks like alot of samples. They aren't really intact enough for study. :stirthepot: Looks like my car after going to Carlisle Imports and Kitcars in May.

Could not keep clutches in it. It was loud and fast. 4" side pipes save lives.

ZL-1 is cool...Not a fan of the interior, but the car is a bad boy...I did not read the entire thread so if was covered I apologize, but I believe GM will cover parts breakage even if being raced as long as it was done at a sanctioned race track and event.

Fire 06-12-2012 07:59 AM

My understanding is that the power train is covered at any structured event. That being a drag race at any track that has an affiliation. I.e. NHRA, IHRA, or any number of the smaller bodies. Any roadrace track that is running track days. SVRA, HDPE SCCA or reputable driving schools.

That's pretty sweet if they cover that kind of stuff.

I will post the link of the owners videos from Chevy in a couple days. OMG WTH are Chevy and Ford thinking with these cars. Hard to believe they are telling you how to run the car on the track. :driving: Will post pics of my ZL1 once I get home tomorrow with it
