Default Dropping things in the $&@*ing engine bay!

Am I the only one that ends up dropping something into the engine bay ( clip, bolt, nut, etc) where it falls into the tray under the car that is impossible to get to without jacking the car up?!*

I've somehow manage to do this way to many times and it drives me crazy! Lol

Get a magnet tool. also banging on the tray can knock it off.

Lol, you're not the only one. When I was installing my Injen's, I dropped the bolt that helps for the vibration...totally disappeared.

Thought it fell to the tray part...nothing came out...used a flashlight as best as I could, nada. Started her up...nothing flew out or weird noises...lord knows where that bolt is lol.

Oh dropping things into the engine bay is my favorite. I usually spend more time looking for things than fixing things.

Dropped the brake fluid reservoir cap (which is plastic and un-magnetic) down beneath the clutch and brake cylinders. It's like a different dimension down there or something. Used a coat hanger and 1.5 hours of my time to accomplish the retrieval. My advice?... If you drop the cap like this, get a new car.

Magnetic pick-up tool is the way to go, like kenchan suggested. Everybody needs one sooner or later.

Going with kenchan's idea, I found two other tools which are helpful:

2-inch-mirror-with-flexible-shaft-97217.html

And

OEM-24-1-2-in-flexible-reach-3-in-1-magnetic-claw-and-LED-pick-up-tool
