Corvette ZR1, GTR...

Both very fast, both very cool.

I'd trade the Z even up for either one happily.

I went the other way, except I had a Z06. Loving my 370Z.

Yeah, a guy at work never drives his, seems to think it will be worth something if he doesn't put any miles on it. LOL This seems to be a common feeling among some vette owners. I know of three that seem to feel this way.

When I did a time trial a few years back, they hosted a car show along side. Most of the guys thought it was cooler to be dusting it rather than driving it.

Maybe they do have a point because their purse money was highet than our pot

He doesn't even have to own it. He can rent one and take both cars to the track. The Z is a great car. But some people are just unrealistic about the Z potential. The Z would need turbos to run with any of those cars on a track and if you are only stage 1? Its a drivers race. You need at least stage 2 to solidify the win. Until those cars mod too... at the end of the day. Its about how much money you have to make yourself a winner.

agree up to a point, but most would agrew pushrod engine and suspension design have nothing to do with it. Its as dumb as the Corvette guys who think all import sucks and vice versa

^^^

Its just bias on both sides. All imports are dumb. All leaf springs suck. All V8's with push rods is crappy technology.

The one I hate the most? Horsepower per liter. Especially when Civics are talking about it with 1.6L motors...
