my corvette customers are telling me they are buying brand new 2012s at over 10k off sticker right now, even base models. GM is practically giving them away, so I would look at new first.

Coming from 2 previous vettes, a c5z and a c6z, I though I might chime in here. The c6 is a great car. Out of the box you get excellent performance and good power stock. It can easily be modded to create monster power.

That being said if you are going to buy a used vette make sure you know everything about. I picked up my c5z with 30k on it and ended up dumping 10k into it just to keep it on the road. The c6z only had 17k miles with an extended warranty but still ended wasting approx $500 in the first 7 months just for up keep.

Finally got sick of it and picked up a brand new Z and I'm happier than I've been in years with a car.

That being said if you can pick up a brand new vette GO FOR IT! But if you are looking used definitely do some research on vehicle. Just my 2cents

I agree with RRonin. Iv'e had three vettes through the years. if you buy used
do your homework. because most vettes have had two things done to them.

had the crap beat out of them or treated like the owners first born................

that being said if i trade my 370 it will be for only two other cars a vette
or a new 370 or whatever nissan calls the new one............

I investigated this recently as I am very tempted to go Z06 myself, and I decided the 2011 Z06 is a reasonable move from a 370Z, the top end model with ride control suspension and advanced traction control.

Otherwise, the base Corvette is a downgrade from the 370Z, even worse when you consider value for money.

and watch fellow Z's pass you in the corners! I would say keep the Z and enjoy it!

Only way a corvette would tempt me is zr1 but that's a completely different class and with that kinda money I would be in a GT-R!

If it ain't at MINIMUM a GS??? It ain't worth it. But even with that. You are trading a high insurance car for a higher insurance car and a Sh!ttier interior. Most Z06 owners trade for Z's. I say if you want more power? Save the Z and go FI. But that's JMO.

Yeah maybe but unless you're driving figure 8's the Corvette will win the straightaways... I'm not a Vette guy by any means but I didn't buy the Z for it's amazing cornering either.

IMO the Vettes are just too unrefined... not saying the 370 is a luxury sports car but the finish is still much nicer IMO.
