Gas solves any blind spot

Also I just stay in the left lane ><

On a serious note, it's not such an issue on driver side as you can look back if you lean foward, the passenger side is the real issue though. I take long hard looks before I move over. Most of the time I'll pass a car and look back and make sure I see that car I passed before making the merge.
