Genesis isn't bad... was actually thinking about getting one for the wife. But also keep in mind that Hyundai's drop like a rock in value.
The Nissan 370z will definitely keep it's resale value, if that matters to you. Edit... and yes, I consider the Genesis a chicks car. Much like the eclipse =) |
Funny, my older brother considers 2-seaters "chick cars".
FTR I could never own a Hyundai or Kia. I don't care how much they've improved. |

Can I do better? Should I choose a different option? I bought my 2011 base w/sport package that stickered around the same for 30,904. I think you can do better than that on pricing. Sounds like you are paying sticker? If so get a better price or different dealership. Most likely since it is Feb of 2012 this dealership is less likely to work on a better price. Be prepaired to walk and look around some more. |
You can do much better in pricing. Back in 2009 when the 370z was brand spanking new I ordered my touring/sport yellow manual for 34300+TTL. At the end of 2010 when searching for a replacement of my now totaled 370z. I bough my 2010 Nismo for 35500+TTL (they had the car stickered at 45k due to tint, window etching, etc). You need to search around and be patient.

Depending on your price range, just go with a CPO e92 M3.

It doesn't seem like much of a dilemma to me, the Z is engineered to a much higher level with decades of refinement. Seems like an easy choice to me.

If you get the Hyundai, rebadge with Genesis badges for sure...

As long as you don't live in Tx,La,Ok,NM,Tn you can get good deals easily. In these states you need to fight, hustle, talk to 5 different dealerships and make them fight for your sale. 3 will reject you cuz they will think that they can get the next sucker... and the last 2 remaining will make it a murderous process and stress you out till you finally come to terms on a fairly good deal. The rest of the country gives Z's away. Lol. |
genesis suk, u buy nisan ok
